Mongolian British 3D Abstract Artist

Nam explores the boundaries of paper to create 3-dimensional
illusions. Paper and paint are the most typical mediums used together but Nam
wanted to explore what it can represent if used in unique different ways.

Nam has always been interested in playing with perception, be
it visual or inner. Every one of us has a defined self that dictates how and
what we relate with based on our experiences throughout our lifetime. She explores
how to use the gap between perception and reality to create 3D illusionary art
to create unique experiences for each viewer.

In Nam’s first round of experiments, she had a solo
exhibition ‘Beginning’ showcasing 3D art abstract art. This project explored types
of acrylic pouring methods on raised patterned surfaces to play with surface
shadow and colour.

In her second round of experiments, she is exploring paper
folding techniques with ink to push the boundaries of paper. The first piece (‘Illusion’)
with this method is displayed in a Mongolian art café. The piece was made from
40 A1 folded paper painted in Indian Ink and bleach to create a snakeskin like
illusion.

Nam has been featured in All About Horsham magazine. She won
the Painter Stainer's Art Prize along with an exhibit of her work and won the Top
Young Artistic Woman of the Year, from the Association for the Development of
Mongolian Woman in Europe.

Alongside her experiments she does commission work. Please
